EXCEL

Today, we were told that this is the last week we are using excel and Mr. Case told us how powerful excel is and how it helped lots of people successfully get jobs.

Excel

Mr. Case taught us how to make graphs on excel spreadsheet. For the survey part (what is being surveyed) one column for that, and for the number of votes another column. to make that a graph, you have to outline that and click on "insert" and then make it a chart.
Another thing he taught us was how to make it go to powerpoint, and you do that by going on "insert" and "creat from file" then make your own file.

BBT Class......

Today Mr. Case taught us how important and powerful Microsoft excel is, and that it could help you get a job, and that it can help you make surveys. yesterday we had to use excel to show what our marks are and what our goal is and how to get the term 2 and term 3 marks depending on what your goal is.

Last class, Mr. Case showed us how you can use Smart Ideas to help you creat Interactive powerpoint and to help you creat websites.

How computers creat colors?

First of all the computers use the Hexidecimal system (explained in the previous bolg) to creat the colors and then show it in the monitor.Actually the computer uses only three colors to make 16581375 color (each color has 255 ; the 255 is FF in hexdecimal different value 255*255*255= 16581375) by mixing them together. These colors are RED, Blue, and Green.

BBT Class..

Last class, our teacher picked groups for us of 7 people, and we had an assignment due before the winter break. we are supposed to sell woodbine using things. The three things are: an interactive PowerPoint, a web page, and a video. First we are doing the video, then the web page and then the interactive PowerPoint. Our president is Kelly.

top students for interactive project

the first student i picked was Rayyan, because his was pretty creative, and it was fun and it had good graphics and pictures. The second student i picked was Summaya, because hers was also creative. And the third one i picked was Jackie, because hers was good pictures and it was fun.

Brand assignment

We are given an assignment which is due on Monday. It should have no more than three slides on the PowerPoint presentation. The presentation can be no longer than three minutes, or Else it'll be cut off. so its a three slides presentation in three minutes.

This should have been posted long before, but i just remembered about it right now.
Anyways, i use citation machine all the time, mostly to cite images and other sources, it will give you the best way for citing images and sources.

PowerPoint Article

This article is by Tom Antion.
he says that most presenters feel that their message is so important to the audience that anyone would want to hear it. and he says that they couldn't be more wrong. he states that all their information are just old and boring, and they should think of something more exacting information not just by adding more information to it.

Article on powerpoint

The article is called "Power Point is evil" and the author is, Edward Tufte.
In this article, the author says that people take too long presenting PowerPoint using a very shot presentation. and he says that they don't really make their message clear enough. and he says that people try to make their presentation more exciting by adding more information about the topic but they really do a very a bad presentation.

BTT class01

Today in class we talked about what kind of difficulties we were having, so our teacher could help us. some people said that it is too much pressure on us to do both wiki and blog at the same time, and that they don't really know which one is more important. And people are complaining about the blogs because they say there is nothing to write about, and the problem usally is because they can't really remember the lesson they had in class.

How to Hyperlink

How to Hyperlink Pictures.
First you need to be on Power Point, of course. First and only way we are suposed to use in BTT class, is going to the tool bar, then find Insert on the top and click on it, go down and you'll see Hyperlink, click on it, this is the kind of complicated way, but if you try it for a couple of times, it'll be pretty easy.
The second easy way is simply to right-click on the picture and click on hyperlink, and if it is already hpyerlinked and you don't want it to be hyperlinked, just right click on it and click on remove hyperlink.
The third and easiest way is just to hold Control and K.
These are the three ways of how to hyperlink.

BTT class

today, our teacher explained to us how to make a page with any link you want, so we won't need to waste time and look for the website you want.
it's basically power point, first we have to go to power point and get whatever the picture or logo of the website. then we need to hyperlink that picture, then we just put that page of links on the Internet. this won't be marked, but it will helps us to save time and to learn new things.

Death By PowerPoint

"Death by PowerPoint", by Andrew Wahl tells that most people don't use PowerPoint properly. People just put on more slides, and hopefully they'll make it more exacting, and to the audience its pretty boring.

wiki

yesterday's lesson was about the school wiki page. we were told to try out the sandbox, which won't save the information you type; its only like testing. and we aren't allowed to edit someone Else's work or plagiarize, because if you try editing some else's work, our teacher will find out.

Binary Lesson

today we learned how to use binary numbers and how to count them. a computer understands a 0 or a 1 in the binary language.
1 is called a "bit", and 8 of these bits or these 1's would make a byte. 1000 bytes(which is 8000 bits) would make a kilobyte. now 1000 kilobytes would make a megabytes. 1000 megabytes would make a gigabytes. and finally, 1000 megabytes would make a terabytes.
we are supposed to remember the binary numbers and how to count them.

we have a new project and in this project we have to play the role as a computer consultant and we are supposed to find 3 different computers for 3 different clients.

so far, me and my group (Timothy and Taimour) did the presentation, which i think we did pretty good and got a good mark. and we did the "computer parts" test, which was pretty hard.

this weekend

this weekend i went to Niagara Falls with my family and my aunt, it was really fun, the best part was when i got to go on the boat, ive been there 3 times before. and i also went outside to play with friends. my weekend was pretty much fun.
